Chateau de Monrecour is located in Périgord Noir region, in the heart of the Dordogne Valley. It offers two heated swimming pools, a large south-facing terrace and a gourmet-style restaurant. Great hotel, a little bit of luxury. Breakfast had great variety of cold cuts, cheeses, fruit and eggs and coffee. Rooms were spacious enough, but the best part was the pool! Very pleasant and impressive dinner at the local restaurant. Staff were welcoming and friendly

Beautifully appointed modern apartment, spacious and comfortable. Wonderful views onto the river and terraces. Autonomous entry was east. Restaurant downstairs was high standard with charming staff, we ate there three nights. Highly recommended.

The house is full of charm and has unbeatable views of the mountains Cadí and Carlit. The breakfast and dinner spread was some of the best I’ve had in a guesthouse and the hospitality incomparable. Toni and Miguel are amazing hosts who truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, comfortable and well-fed. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Absolutely everything. The château went through a renovation process and now looks bran new, but keeping the history and all heritage. Just loved it.

We absolutely LOVED staying at Chteau Fleur D'Aya! We were immediately made to fee super welcome and in fact on our first night we chose to sit and eat our dinner (bought from a local supermarket) with Henri and loved listening to his stories about the amazing restoration he implemented at the Chateaux. The Chateaux is a fabulous mix of historical beauty and modern interior design - it has been renovated in a stunningly sensitive and clever way and we loved staying somewhere so different! The beds were super comfortable and the shower and bath etc were wonderful. We actually did not find the time to get a swim in as we at two Rugby World Cup matches to attend but it looked wonderful and the hosts were super relaxed about us using it at any time. We are hoping to make a return sometime in the future when we have more time to enjoy the Chateau and Bordeaux and it's surroundings.

Incredible service and beautiful beautiful hotel We got amazing recommendations for eating around And the staff was so nice and attentive There were so many small gifts and details in our room, definitely once in a lifetime experience

I’m very picky with hotels and usually try to stay at luxury properties. Chateau Bonalgue showed me a different side. The rooms are comfortable and very nicely appointed (actually I recommend the team to take the pictures again, as the pictures on the listing make the rooms look of inferior quality, when they are actually very nice). The peaceful atmosphere is the vineyard and our 5 year old son discovery and learning was priceless. The whole team was superb. Already missing it.
