The pools and grounds are gorgeous, and the food at House of Better is creative and incredible (we particularly loved the green and red chile sauces). We had a wonderfully relaxing time, including lying in the hammocks, eating on the patio, swimming in the cold pool, and soaking in the hot pool.

The place was beautiful and clean. When I booked, I was already in town and the owners were quick sending all the instructions and preparing the room. Everything worked perfectly, the hot water, the spa tub… also, they gave a breakfast voucher with a very fair amount in a nice place. It couldn’t be better!

Maybe a little far from Napa or Sonoma but the place it's worthwhile a visit

Old Faithful was fun to see.
Old Faithful was fun to see. We also went to the Petrified Forest, which was amazing to see those trees. We had Thai food in town. Do a couples mud bath/massage at Doc Wilkinsons. Been in business for 70 years. And not to miss is Buster's BBQ. His hot sauce will literally bring tears to your eyes, in a good way. Cole slaw and potato salad were excellent too. We got beef ribs and tri tips. Super yummy.

We have been vacationing in Calistoga for over 30 years.
We have been vacationing in Calistoga for over 30 years. We have seen a lot of changes good and not so good ( prices at our favorite Spa doubled ) but none have kept us away. We found a few hotels with mineral water pools that are reasonably priced. It's a wonderful town, the people that live and work here are friendly and helpful. We have always felt safe in Calistoga. We always go to Soo Yuan Restaurant at least once a stay. We miss the mexican restaurant that was next to Cal Mart. Most of the time we get take home food from Cal Mart, it's always great . We nearly always walk to town, but if not, we have never had trouble finding parking - there are plenty of public parking lots and public restrooms.

Calistoga is a beautiful town with many hotels that have mineral water pools. Very easy to get around. Best restaurant in town is at The Calistoga Inn. I would avoid The Mount View Inn as it needs a lot of repair/remodeling (and I do like older historic buildings).
There are a lot of interesting shops, hiking, biking, etc.

Beautiful.
Beautiful. Our hotel was in walking distance of everything we needed and wanted. Amazing spa treatments. Delicious wine and food. Quaint shops great atmosphere, friendly people. Everything was spectacular.
The breakfast was good and simple. Home baked blueberry muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, oj, coffee. There was a nice bottle of chilled wine in the fridge upon arrival. The garden setting was lovely and well maintained, next door to a vineyard. Lani, the hostess, was very friendly, but also good at giving us our privacy. The hot tub was nice and there was a comfy hammock. We rode our e-bikes from the Inn to the town of Calistoga, past at least 4 wineries along the way. Great location, out of town enough that the price was right!
We had a great stay at the motor lodge. The staff were so friendly and helpful, ready with recomendations and suggestions and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The decoration is modern and fun, and very comfortable. The lodge is a short walk from downtown Calistoga and in a very calm area so no disruption from external noises at any time. Lots of nice hikes close by and easy walk to some wineries! The restaurant is delicious and the facilities are great! Hope to enjoy more of the spa and pool next time
Nicely redone (aesthetically) mid-century hotel. Great pool options with plenty of lounger availability - cool and warm pools outside are nice and the hot pool (covered but open-air) is very hot and quiet/private. The on-site restaurant (House of Better) has lots of delicious options, both healthy and indulgent. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the level of service is relatively casual. Great location, walkable to everything downtown Calistoga has to offer.
Excellent service and excellent massages at the spa.
The breakfast was great - one day as a treat they had the best quiche and potatoes I've ever had in my life, made by the hotel owner, who used to be a chef.
Loved the fireplace in the room. The fireplace at the breakfast patio was also so nice to hang out while staying safe during the pandemic.
Nice tasting rooms and restaurants nearby!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated inn. The room was brilliant. Phone sanitiser, hair straighteners, and great toiletries were on offer. Shower room was spacious with powerful shower and heated toilet seat! Wouldn’t have thought this was necessary in Calistoga but we enjoyed the novelty.
This is an awesome place and the staff, wow, best customer service. My daughter left a pair of shoes and they called and texted us right away the moment they found it. They mailed it to our home address. The location is superb It is close to everything. We'll definitely stay here again when we go back to Calistoga.
The property is within walking distance to downtown Calistoga. It’s a very charming, old Inn, very clean and stocked with complimentary snacks and germ supplies (masks, wipes). Check in was super easy by means of a letter with instructions at the front door. The backyard was cozy, private and very garden like.
It was perfect. Home made breakfast served on a beautiful patio looking out into the fairy garden with some mimosas and hot coffee. A hidden treasure in Calistoga/ Napa Valley area. Room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Very accommodating hosts. Will definately return and tell friends and family about.
Cute.homey.cottages. We stayed in the junior suite which was spacious but effectively one big room plus kitchen. Sofa bed was fine.and proper beds very comfy. Enjoyed the pool.and jacuzzi. 15 minutes walk to downtown which we did both nights so no-one.had to drive. Pretty good proce for Calistoga.
Super friendly people working at The Inn on Pine! Perfect location in Calistoga to explore all the Napa Valley treasures. Cozy and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Little kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, sink, winecooler etc.
The complementary continental breakfast is just superb.
Great staff and amenities, very clean, well maintained with a nice pool, two jacuzzis and a spa with a very good masseuse named Sadie. The hotel is close to downtown and provides free bikes to use as well. Definitely a place we'd like to stay at again.
Close proximity to downtown Calistoga with cute boutique wineries and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Loved the L’Occitane products offered in the room and the spa tub was perfect to soak in after a long day of wine tasting!
thé reception snd owner were absolutely wonderful ! so helpful and very pleasant . Fantastic gardens . very comfortable bed with lovely bedding. very clean snd perfect central place in town . the pools were brilliant and spa fantastic !
We stay here every time we want to get away from the busy life from the Bay Area. An excellent hotel, clean, services and the hot spring spas was the best. Love the cottage and we will always come more than 4 times a year.
Lovely accommodations on the edge of Calistoga in the northern part of Napa Valley wine country. Great value for money compared to towns located further south in the valley. Will definitely make a return visit.
The most comfortable bed I remember! the place has a great atmosphere, beautiful garden and easy access to downtown. Snacks and coffee in the room were a great surprise
Great hotel! The rooms are a great size, very clean and beds very comfortable. The location is just a 5/10 min walk to town centre. We spent a lot of time at the pool
