I wanted a weekend escape in Hunter valley after a busy week in Sydney for a business conference. I was in doubt between the Lane Retreat and 1 other accommodation and I asked ChatGPT for help! So thanks to AI I made the perfect choice! This place was so peaceful and my room was so spacious. Also super new! I had the view to the small lake and the modern design reminded me of a movie! I wish I could have stayed one more night and wish I had taken photos of the kangaroo, they were so fun to see. I also saw the hot air balloons at dawn when checking out, which I didn't know they left from there. I didn't have an Australian number so all communication had to be via email since they don't have a formal reception etc. They do have a pantry you can purchase some items there and also fridge items for purchase. You get a continental breakfast which is already in the room. It had fresh cold pressed juice, granola, yogurt, some honey, banana bread. The bathroom was so nice! Super new! I wish there was a bath tub, maybe some other rooms have it. I loved the balcony area and sipping some wine while listening to nature. I actually went here without a car, crazy I know, but they shuttled me to the room and had shuttle to visit the Pizza Wood fire restaurant place at Bimbadgen. Overall, a lovely experience..

Located in Pokolbin, the renovated Spicers Guesthouse offers an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court. Éremo Restaurant, with its modern Italian cuisine is a centerpiece of the retreat. The cottage and its fireplace and layout is amazing, just a short walk from the main building.

Located in the heart of the Hunter Valley with views of the Brokenback Ranges, Grand Mercure The Vintage offers self-contained apartments with free WiFi. The villa was beautifully appointed, extremely clean and spacious. We loved the fireplace - it was easy to use and very effective on the cold nights we experienced in the Hunter Valley. The Nineteen restaurant was also great, with a lovely menu and very friendly staff. Our stay was very relaxing, the layout of the complex was terrific with very helpful staff, we had booked a few villas and it was perfect for reconnecting with family and friends.

Located in the heart of Pokolbin, voco™ Kirkton Park Hunter Valley offers elegant and luxurious accommodation, just minutes from the Hunter Valley’s most popular attractions and wineries. The staff were phenomenal, and a special thanks goes to a reception manager Evelyn. She was just brilliant and helped us organize local taxies and recommended a few very nice places. Food was outstanding. Breakfast lavish and delicious and one evening we had supper in their fine dining restaurant which again was fantastic and very tasty. The view from our room to the valley and nearby mountains was just stunning and we are very pleased we've stayed here.
